The Power of Words (And Why I’m So Passionate About Writing) ✍️
By now, you know I have a health and wellness background. But there’s something else that I've studied that's close to my heart: the Raw Power of Words. Yes, words!!! I admit, I'm utterly obsessed with them! I get it. It might not be something you think about often. But words are like magic—they can influence our moods, and even change the course of our lives. Seriously, the right words are like having a superpower in your back pocket, ready to be used at any moment. Superpower, Karla? Yep! ⭐...

By now, you know I have a health and wellness background. But there’s something else that I’ve studied that’s close to my heart: the Raw Power of Words. Yes, words!!! I admit, I’m utterly obsessed with them! I get it. It might not be something you think about often. But words are like magic—they can influence our moods, and even change the course of our lives. Seriously, the right words are like having a superpower in your back pocket, ready to be used at any moment. Superpower, Karla? Yep! ⭐ That’s because our beliefs are molded primarily by the words we say to ourselves and the pictures we put in our heads. ❤️🩹🧁🦠 Think about it. 💡🤔🪳 And words change over time. Here’s an example: The Merriam-Webster Dictionary states that the word “lit” can mean either a past tense of light, a term short for literature, or, starting in the early 20th century, “lit” means being drunk. But today’s teens have a new meaning: when something is “lit,” it means it is excellent. Here’s something that perfectly sums up the importance (and sometimes the hilarity) of using the right words and making sure they’re understood. 🤣
Moments like these remind me just how powerful words can be—and how careful (and creative) we need to be when using them. Oh, and in this case, understanding “teen speak” would have helped. That’s a big part of why I write. I see it as my way of wielding this superpower for good—whether I’m helping someone master the wild ride of teenage social skills or just making someone laugh with a ridiculous story. Writing allows me to connect with others, share what I’ve learned along the way, and hopefully, sprinkle a little joy into someone’s day. I’m beyond thrilled to have you on this journey with me. There are so many stories, insights, and yes, probably a few more weird moments like this one that I can’t wait to share with you. Your feedback and thoughts mean the world to me, so please keep them coming! Stay tuned, 📺 because we’re just getting started. Let’s embrace the power of words and use them to make our world—and our lives—a little brighter, one story at a time.
